50 years and counting

Wow! I hope we are this in love when we've been married 50 years! And that we look this ready for the next 50...

And I hope my Canon is still working and my family is still tolerating non-stop memory sealing then so I can get some pictures like these... 3 generations. Fabulous.

These three came all the way from Portland, Oregon for the shoot. See what I mean about a fab family... (and a photogenic one, my golly!)

L Family - 1 year later

When your job is capturing time on camera, it is really quite an honor to literally watch it unfold. These jolly four were among the first to grace my lens last fall when the weather was just changing, the little ones were even littler, and everything was just right. This year, we met on a glowingly sunny day in July and they lit up the screen all over again. Mama L is one of the sweetest people you can imagine, and her children and lucky hubby have soaked up that goodness and radiate it back. It was such an privilege to photograph this family again. It is one I don't take lightly. Needless to say, without wishing time away, already, I can't wait to see what next year brings!

Mother's Day Sessions

I was lucky enough to spend my mother's day morning with three beautiful and happy moms, selfless and radiant as only mothers can be. I traveled from Flat Rock Beach to Fort Sewall and then to Crocker Park, before arriving on the other side to cook lunch and celebrate with my own beautiful mother. Later, it was afternoon tea with all of the gang chez nous and dinner with my own two messy rugrats that make me the luckiest mama there could be. A full, happy, celebratory day. I hope you all spoiled your Commanders-In-Chief rotten on Sunday and took a picture together to have forever. If not, wahey, you can do it today.

F boys and their Mama

There's no love like that of a mama's for her baby boy. And this little one is just about as cute as they come. Lucky boy clearly inherited his gorgeous good looks! Here's a tiny peek at our seasonable and fun session this week. And just wait until you see this little guy's big brother!

The Brothers M

Just love these four brothers and the promise of forever ahead of them. Four distinct and lively personalities, all oozing with goodness, humor and smarts. It seems such an honor to have time with families like these. Thank you for letting me capture this day, this season, this moment for you.

Baby Girl F

Babies are such a nice way to start people. Don Herrold

Meeting little F, you just find yourself cooing and smiling to no end. She is a bouncing baby girl, through and through, and the camera loved her, and her little mischievous friend, Jack. Love.

G Kiddos

There is no season such delight can bring
As summer, autumn, winter and the spring.
~William Browne

Such fun to photograph this gorgeous family in a spectacular setting on the perfect day. The snow was beautiful, the blue skies so crisp, the ocean still, the air mild. Amazing. These kids are just beautiful, and such a breeze to work with. The intense bond of brother and sisterhood was so evident, as was the positive energy that came from Mom and ignited them all.

D Family Generations

Each generation goes further than the generation preceding it because it stands on the shoulders of that generation.
-Ronald Reagan

What a joy to photography a family all together, generation upon generation, brother and sister, cousin and aunt, wife and mother, all at arm's length. These guys were a breeze! All delightful people, all united in their love for a truly beautiful grandmother.

C boys and their mama

I love my mother as the trees love water and sunshine - she helps me grow, prosper, and reach great heights. ~Terri Guillemets

What a wonderful and wise mama to be blessed by and in control of three fabulous and fast boys, single-parenting it for the weekend. All the way from North Carolina, this sweet family fit right in with the New England foliage, the crackling Marblehead Atlantic, and the bitter breeze of November. They were super like that.

Family G

What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories. ~George Eliot

You're going to love this family. Really, you can't not. They were some of my first guinea pigs when I bought my first dslr back when and today they are bigger, brighter and even more radiant. They are five distinct personalities that make one outstanding family. Lucky kids. Lucky parents. These and they make me smile...

S Family

It was the coldest, windiest shoot yet, but the brothers prevailed. I was amazed to see the eldest take the lead here and so I included a few extra pics of him in the sneak peek. Terrific boys on a windy, windy day. Well done.

Super S Fam... Loving getting to know these fab five...
